COVID-19 Statement
To our current and prospective patients,
We know that many of you will be concerned about the effect that the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic will have on your treatment.
We would like to assure you that our clinic has taken all the precautionary steps to ensure that our staff adhere to and follow the preventative measures currently recommended by our national health authorities and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
As a fertility unit that is part of the wider healthcare ecosystem, we share the same goals to protect our patients along with their gametes and embryos, while allowing our clinic staff to work safely and as effectively as possible throughout. We recognise our role and responsibility and we take this level of planning very seriously. Our clinic is responding to this ever-changing global situation by making necessary decisions around completing or postponing current fertility treatments, putting a halt on new treatments, considering follow-up arrangements and changing face-to-face consultations to phone or video calls.
Therefore, we have come to the hard decision to not commence any new treatments whilst this pandemic is taking place. We believe that this is the medically and socially responsible course of action, as we are a fertility clinic that takes pride in its evidence-based treatments and wellbeing of patients and their yet-to-be born children. Once the situation is at a manageable level, King’s Fertility will be able to advise when fertility treatments are safe to initiate.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates and guidance as needed. We are ensuring that we have an ongoing dialogue with patients in existing treatment and that they receive the care they need. We are working hard to convert as many of our appointments that do not need physical examinations or diagnostic tests (such as initial and follow-up consultations) from face-to-face interactions to phone or video calls.
If you are visiting the clinic, please ensure you wash your hands-on arrival. If you exhibit any of the COVID-19 symptoms, please do not be offended if we ask you to leave.
Our team is here for you and want to help you in whatever capacity you need. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any queries. If you have any concerns about your health in relation to Coronavirus (COVID-19), please contact NHS111 Coronavirus service.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
